This print is part of the exhibition ‘Nudibranch’ by Coco Lom at The Book Club in Shoreditch, London. The exhibition is inspired by Nudibranchs, more commonly known as sea slugs. These luminous molluscs are famous for their psychedelic shapes and patterns, with each piece from the show celebrating a different member of the sea slug family.

    Four Fried Eggs

    Scientific name - Phyllidia Varicosa

    AKA The Fried Egg

These eggy slugs are dotted widely around the islands and atolls of the Hawaiian Archipelago. They’re quite a plentiful species, one of the most frequently noticed by exploring divers. Fried Eggs are often spotted snuggled up in sponge holes. But trespassers beware - although endearing, these little Nudibranchs have the power to kill all unwelcome intruders, resulting in them having no known predator.
