Kanga Quartet
PRODUCT INFO
This print is part of the exhibition ‘Nudibranch’ by Coco Lom at The Book Club in Shoreditch, London. The exhibition is inspired by Nudibranchs, more commonly known as sea slugs. These luminous molluscs are famous for their psychedelic shapes and patterns, with each piece from the show celebrating a different member of the sea slug family.
Kanga Quartet
Scientific name - Hypselodoris Kanga
AKA The Kanga
The Kanga’s favourite snack is a yellow coastal reef sponge which grows in abundance on reefs from South African to India and Hong Kong. This Nudibranch knows how to do pattern, with its bright spots and bold colourful armour.
Tragically however, Nudibranchs are colour blind and see mostly through light and dark, so they are unable to delight in each other’s magnificent displays of colour.
