"I am a pattern seeker, colour lover, shadow chaser and stripe enthusiast!"
Coco Lom is an artist and designer from east London. Her distinctive style mixes a bold bright colour palette with black and white pattern, which is often created on one of her favourite tools - a photocopier.
Coco's driving force is to help people find the magnificence amongst the daily mundane, opening people’s eyes to the powerful colours and patterns that surround us. Through her photography, she captures overlooked details in our busy day-to-day lives, which often become the starting points for her research and projects. Through playful graphic patterns and creative workshops, she highlights joyful moments that would normally go unnoticed.
After completing an Art & Design Foundation course at Kingston University (Distinction), she went on to study Illustration at Norwich University of the Arts (First-class honours) and is now based back in Hackney.
Coco has worked on creative projects for Track Mafia, The BRIT Awards and Jo Malone. She's been commissioned by clients including The Royal Parks Foundation, Shoreditch Studios, The Tree Council and Hackney Arts.
