Coco Lom

Hello! I’m Coco Lom and I’m a multi-disciplinary artist and designer from east London.

I would describe myself as a pattern seeker, colour lover, shadow chaser and stripe enthusiast. I’m on a mission to help people find the joy in these quiet details we might not normally notice.

Through photography, print, murals, public art, workshops, partnerships, playful events and more, I encourage people to be more playful and curious, and to discover the sense of ‘awe’ and ‘wonder’ in the shapes, colours and patterns around us.

Using my mix of bold colours and black and white patterns, I design everything from printed clothing and giant outdoor murals, to homeware and even colourful basketballs!

‘Working with Coco Lom on the Pink Lady basketball court was a very positive experience. We loved her design proposal and the ideas she brought to the challenge of weaving together our brand identity and the game of basketball. Her inspiration and flair were instrumental in creating a public art court that will capture the imagination of players and passers by alike. Coco Lom and her team were hardworking and professional and their attention to detail when completing the court was impressive.’

Kate Grey, Creative Director, MCG Agency, PR for Pink Lady Apples

‘Coco Lom presented us some ideas and we loved them straightaway. The plain white wall in our entrance reception is now full of fantastic colours. She’s brightened up the place. She’s managed to abstractly transfer things that are in the studio onto the wall. We’re hoping it’ll put clients in a great mood when they enter the studio.’

'Coco Lom and Common Exception immersed us in music while we drew with our eyes closed. Listening to the beat without thinking completely shifted my mindset, dissolving tension and clearing away distracting thoughts. By the time we moved on to creating collages, I felt fully relaxed, letting my artistic instincts take over. It was a transformative experience, where letting go of control and simply tuning into the music rhythm led to a more intuitive and authentic creativity.'

Sandra Pinto, Music + Awe Workshop participant

'The Music + Awe collage workshop was a truly uplifting experience. The hum drum of the everyday faded away and I felt completely emersed in the moment. It created a space that allowed me to express myself in ways I hadn’t imagined, bringing a real sense of joy and calm. I came away feeling energised, inspired, and carrying a newfound appreciation for the powerful impact of music on art. Common Exception and Coco Lom fostered such a welcoming and inclusive environment, making it easy for everyone to engage and create. I'd be the first to sign up for the next one!'
