Hello! I'm Coco Lom and I'm an artist and designer based in my attic studio in Hackney, east London. I am a pattern seeker, colour lover, shadow chaser and stripe enthusiast.
I'm hoping to open your eyes to all the patterns, shapes and colours that lie around us and help us celebrate those small moments that we might not normally notice. I do this through my photography, and my illustrations & design work. These are mostly made with assistance from one of my favourite tools - my photocopier.
Over the past few years, I've created printed clothing, painted small-scale and larger-scale indoor and outdoor murals, taught pattern workshops in schools and last year, I designed part of Nike's 5k Run route through Hackney Marshes.
I hope that through my playful illustrations, designs and photography, I can inspire you to discover the many joyful patterns, shapes and colours that make up the world around us.
My work to date includes creative projects with brands such as The BRIT Awards, Jo Malone, Track Mafia and Evermade. I've also been commissioned by clients including The Royal Parks Foundation, Shoreditch Studios, The Tree Council and Hackney Arts.
Commissioned projects coming up include an invitation to take up an Artist in Residency at a leading international hotel in New York, and a commission to revive a large outdoor sport venue for a local community in central London.
