Coco Lom x Ethical Stone x Parkside Architectural Tiles - British Terrazzo Collection
I've teamed up with Parkside Architectural Tiles and Ethical Stone to collaborate on a new, colourful, 100% British terrazzo collection - from tiles and tables, to sinks and kitchen worktops.
My world and my work are all about celebrating the overlooked details of everyday life and helping people notice, and find joy, in the shapes, patterns and colours in the spaces around us. I wanted to celebrate the craft and process of terrazzo making, so I started my research in Manchester, where Ethical Stone British Terrazzo is made, and I spent a day photographing the details - such as giant conveyor belts, bright yellow buckets of stone, stacks of crates, vents, giant tanks, power tools and the most beautiful rust and peeling paint. There were so many unusual shapes and interesting textures to discover, which I then used as inspiration back at my studio.

News of our upcoming collaboration launched as part of Clerkenwell Design Week 2024, where we ran free workshops for people to make their own terrazzo coaster using pieces of stone inspired by my colourful and pattern-filled world. As part the event, I designed Parkside showroom front window and painted a mural live in the space. The designs were inspired by my factory research, and shared a taster of the collection to come.

The handmade collection will be launching in 2025 and is designed to bring colour and pattern joy to any property, including commercial and hospitality venues, homes and private spaces - either indoor or outdoor.
